Running, Golfing and Volleyball

Well I didn’t run the NAMI walk like I planned June 5th. One reason being it was a 2K and not a 5K. The other reason was I wouldn’t have ran it well since it was a competitive race. I’m still looking for a race to to run. I need to get back in the jive and quit slacking. I have so many options but I just haven’t filled out the registration for any of them. But I do know I’m running the Columbus Half Marathon Oct. 17!

I had my best score on the Oakhaven Golf Course last Thursday: 67 on 9 holes. I was 5 under double par! Hole #15 on the back 9 is the only hole with hills and after golfing in PA it’s a piece of cake for me! I own hole #15. I golfed the back 9 again on Monday and had the same score; yay for being consistent! I received the scores for the golf league and the first week I finished in 3rd place and the 2nd week in first place!

Last week my team, Wanna Play a Third?, played the other PPG volleyball team, Chuck’s Kids. I was so pumped for this game. I actually ran for 30 min before the game which helped calm me a bit and was perfect because it was National Running Day! During the first I game I served about 8 times and we scored 8 points! But then some dark clouds came rolling in and the wind picked up during the second game. After it was 6-6 the rain started pouring down and we had to go inside. Then there was a tornado warning for Franklin and Licking county. Our game was canceled and now we have to reschedule. Of course one of the two games I look forward to in Summer I session is canceled! The second game is when we play Chuck’s Kids again. :)
